Reaching nearly 3 inches in length when stretched out, with coffee brown permeable skin that is prone to drying out so keep them damp side. These worms are tropical and unlike many other species of Velvet Worms that need to be kept cold or in a fridge they will be ok at regular room temperature. However they do live under rotting logs or rocks where they are not at risk of drying out. These communal worms can be kept in groups and will breed in captivity. Females will give birth to one live worm once a week for several weeks after mating. What they are most known for is for is thier interesting hunting behavior, as they spit a sticky glue like substance all over unsuspecting near by prey. The more the prey struggles in the sticky substance, the more trapped they become in it, as the worm starts to consume it. Feed them small feeder insect like 1/4” crickets and similar sized prey. These are super rare in captivity and very sought after.
