Monocentropus balfouri 10 lot communal
Monocentropus balfouri 10 lot communal
size 3/4” (10 lot)
One of the most incredible spiders in the hobby, well known for its communal behaviors. The buzz around this spider when it came to the hobby around 2006 was something I’ll never forget. I owned 2 of the original 6 that came to the states, and at the time was the most I ever paid for a spider. Thankfully through captive breeding this spider is well established in the hobby now, with people keeping big numbers on them in one large enclosure. These magnificent spiders are from the very unique Island Socotra of Yemen. Described in 1897 by legendary British zoologist Reginald Innes Pocock, they are a must have for any collection. Heavy webbing species with beautiful blue and grey coloration. You won’t be disappointed with these awesome spiders!
