Anqasha picta was was originally described by Reginald Innes Pocock in 1903 as a Hapalopus species until the new genus Anqasha picta was established in 2022 by Danniella Sherwood & Ray Gabriel. This is a highland species that’s probably best for more experienced keepers.
This species has been found at day time ambient temps in the 60’s. However these spiders live under rocks that create a humid micro environment with temps ranging down in the the 50’s with high humidity.
From the province of Huaylas and Yungay in the region of Ancash Peru. This species is found in the grass and woodlands areas. Adults looks similar to Davus pentaloris with a neat tiger stripe pattern on the abdomen. Very limited.
