Reaching a little more then a 6 inch leg span, this uniquely colored Brachypelma is sometimes referred to as the Mexican golden red rump tarantula. This spider is endemic to Mexico where is can be found in highland scrub forests of Guerrero, Morelos, and Puebla. Described in 1903 by legendary British zoologist Reginald Innes Pocock.
