Beautiful Mexican tarantula that is sometimes hard to find. FaIrly mellow species that can be found in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental in Sinaloaand Nayarit in Mexico. Described in 1856 by Scottish zoologist Adam White as Mygale Emilia,but in 1891 Eugene Simon transferred it to the new genus Brachypelma. These spiders can reach sizes of about 5”-6” and are very long lived.
