This is my all time favorite Bracypelma species. Adult females can get up to 6 inches and have beautiful pink setae that pops against the black spider. Found on the coastal side of the Sierra Madre Occidental range in western Jalisco State to western Colima State of Mexico. This spider was originally described in 1994 by Dr. Günter Schmidt and Rolf Harald Krause of Germany.
