Clavopelma is a monotypic genus meaning it only has one species. Described as Eurypelma tamaulipeca In 1937 by Ralph Chamberlin. Little is still known about this terrestrial species from Marmolejo Mexico. Suspected to get around 5 inches. This coffee brown spider has a nice velvety appearance with greyish hairs on the legs.
