Eupalaestrus weijenberghi

Another rare docile and terrestrial spider from the Eupalaestrus genus. These spiders can reach 5 inches with adults having a grayish purple hue and a white ring around the carapace. They were originally described in 1894 as Lasiodora weijenberghi by Swedish arachnologist Tord Tamerlan Teodor Thorell. They have since been through numerous taxonomic changes until 1992 when they were moved to  Eupalaestrus.  These spiders are hard to come by and have been high in female for awhile.
