Described by French scientist Charles Walckenaer back in 1837. This beautiful baboon spider has a shimmery gold color all over its body. The mature males turn a glowing fiery orange color that is incredibly beautiful. This South African species gets about 4”-5” as adults and are hard to find these days.  Grab one while they last, you won’t be disappointed with this species.
