One of the largest genera on earth nearly rivaling the size of Theraphosa species. Described in 1841 by German Arachnologist Carl Ludwig Koch. These spiders can get 9” as adults and grow at alarming rates. One of the prettier in the genus,  Lasiodora klugi gets some nice red abdominal hairs. Easy to keep terrestrial spider.
