Macroctenus kingsleyi 4”suspected females

size 4” - suspected females. That means they do not have swollen palps and are not showing any signs of being a male. However the sex is not guaranteed. 

These huge arboreal Ctenidae are from Cameroon and are quite the sight. Beautiful dark purple femurs with a large leg span of up to 6 inches. Give them lots of height and things to hang from when they molt. These spiders where described in 1898 by English arachnologist Frederick Octavius Pickard-Cambridge.
