These are pretty special. For years wild caught M. velvetosma would come out of Peru, however we rarely ever saw captive bred spiders. Now they haven't been around for years and we got our hands on some true captive bred slings. This coffee brown spider has a beautiful soft velvet appearance right after a molt, and can grow quite large to 7 or 8 inches as adults. This large terrestrial spider from Ecuador and Peru was described in 1995 by German Arachnologist Günter Schmidt. There is only a few of these available so get them while they last!
