Neischnocolus panamanus 1/8” - 1/4”
Neischnocolus panamanus 1/8” - 1/4”
size 1/8” - 1/4”
This interesting dwarf species from Panama has a confusing past in the hobby. It’s often confused with what is now sold in the hobby as Neischnocolus mecana. So don’t go by what the pictures on Google look like, because many of them are wrong. This species grows to about 2.5 inches and lives in rotting logs in nature. They also have a pretty unique defensive posture when disturbed, where they flair their legs out in an arched position displaying their fangs. Described in 1925 by Russian arachnologist Alexander Petrunkevitch.
