Described in 1998 by Günter Schmidt & Robert Samm of Germany. A robust terrestrial spider from Brazil with striking thick white bands on a black spiders. Fresh molted they will also have some pinkish hairs on the abdomen.  Adults can reach sizes of 6 inches, grow fast and have a big appetite like most South America terrestrials do. Beautiful species and genus.
