Phormictopus atrichomatus 3/4”

The World Spider Catalog lists the type locality of this species as “probably Hispaniola” lol. This species was described by German arachnologist Günter Schmidt in 1991. This spider is similar to Phormictopus cancerides, in size and temperament reaching about 7” - 8” as adults. This terrestrial spider will grow fast and has a big appetite.
