Beautiful arboreal ornamental spider from India. P. formosa has been only sporadically available over the years and is one of the less commonly bred Poecilotheria. These spiders are a stunning black and white color with metallic purple highlights. Described in 1899 by British zoologist Reginald Innes Pocock. Adult females of this species reach about 7 inches in length and make a great display species.
