Pseudocreobotra wahlbergi “Spiny flower mantis” 4th - 5th instar

size 4th - 5th instar, around 1” or larger. Great size, well started ! 

 These popular pet mantis are easy to keep and breed. Also know as the “spiny flower mantis”, or “#9’s” are native to southern and Eastern Africa. These incredible mantis have awesome camouflage, but when disturbed will flair out their wings on a defensive posture to make them appear bigger then they are. Like all mantis, they should have a tall enclosure with places to hang from when they molt. This species was described in 1871 by Swedish entomologists Carl Stål.
