This species is fairly new to science being described in 2011 by Richard Gallon and Ian Englebrecht. Very rare in captivity as not much breeding is being done with them, so they would make a great breeding project. From the Waterberg mountains of Limpopo South Africa, this species is known to be the species found the furthest south in the genus Pterinochilus. Heavy webber and fast moving. adults can get 5”- 6” range.  Great addition for baboon collectors!
