These Pill Millipedes require certain conditions to be kept in, and are not for your average keeper. These inverts have a specialized died of rotting wood and decomposing plant matter. It is imperative that they are not kept on coco fiber as that can be harmful for these animals that will eat it. A high quality rich substrate or flake soil should be used, with other additives like rotten wood, oak leaves, mosses and fish flakes to add to the diet. Pill millipedes are notorious for not doing well in captivity, however this species has been bred in captivity as advancements in their husbandry have been made over the years.
