Hardcore Arachnids
Sicarius gracilis group of 5
Sicarius gracilis group of 5
size 1/4”
New Ecuadorean species of sand spider! This spider has the same awesome burying behavior seen in Sicarius thomisoides where they cover themselves with sand, waiting in ambush for near by prey. Gets about 2”-2.5” as adults. Although these spiders live in the sand on the bottom of the cage, they still need some height with something to hang from when they molt like most true spiders. Described in 1880 by Eugen von Keyserling. These can be found in coastal deserts and dry forests areas ranging from southern Ecuador into northern Peru
