Sand spiders ! One of the most unique true spiders that are highly sought after. Known for their incredible digging behavior and camouflaging themselves by burrowing into the sand. Long lived for a true spider and reach about 2.5 inches as adults. The venom of this species has been a subject of much debate over the years, with some papers suggesting they their venom is highly toxic with, other papers disputing that. Regardless caution should be taken and these spiders should not be handled. However they are easy to manage as they can’t climb the smooth surfaces of an enclosure. Give them a few inches of loose sand to dig in, and something tall for them to hang from when they molt. Awesome spiders that are limited and won’t last long !
