Definitely one of these meanest tarantulas on earth. Also one of the most awesome species to keep. Described all the way back in 1793 by Danish zoologist Johan Christian Fabricius. Their cryptic coloration is the perfect camouflage for the sides of the trees where they patiently wait for something to spaz out about. These spiders will not hesitate to bite and have a powerful venom. So caution should be taking while working with them. Handling is not recommended and catch cups should be at a arms reach at all times. Females can reach 6 inch leg span and will keep you in check with constant threat postures.
