Tamolanica tamolana “ Hooded Horror mantis” 2nd - 3rd instar

This uncommon species from New Guinea is known to be an aggressive species. The leaf like shield on their back gives them an incredible cryptic look. Described in 1923 by German Karl Werner. Like all mantis this species should be kept in a tall container with perches to hang from when they molt.
