Aka the “Purple tree spider” known for its fast arboreal tendencies and shiny purple color. This is an awesome species that often gets over looked. Easy to keep and breed, they get about 5 inches as adults. Native to Brazil and French Guiana. These spiders were determined to by synonymous with Tapinauchenius plumipes in 2022. However I feel they should still be labeled as sp. violaceus as I do think they look quite different from what we know as plumipes in the hobby.
