Theraphosidae sp. Megacarapace

This to me is the most exciting new species to come to the hobby in recent years. First started showing up in the U.S. in the summer of 2021. Some how they managed to fly under the “new species” radar and were quite affordable compared to most new species. The spiderlings are quite large right out of the eggsac. I’m guessing adults are about 6”-7” but I have not confirmed that yet. The spectacular elongated carapace seems to stretch with every molt giving them the hobby name “megacarapace”. This heavy bodied terrestrial spider comes from Colombia and is probably a new genus to the hobby.
