Ewok pruriens 3/4” (ex. Thrixopelma pruriens)

These spiders originally came to the hobby under the name Theraphosinae sp. "Piura". However they were recently examined by Germany’s Theraphosid Research Team and determined that they are indeed Thrixopelma pruriens. Then in 2025 they were transferred to the newly created genus Ewok. This long lived terrestrial spider from Peru are only sporadically available and aren’t bred often in the U.S. Reaches about 5 inches as adults. I’ve personally raised one from a sling and had it for 19 years !
