This fossorial species is endemic to the northern Western Ghats of Karnataka India and only sporadically available. Reaching about 6 inches as adults these spiders build tunnels in shaded slopes of the road side embankments. Described by legendary British zoologist Reginald Innes Pocock in 1899. Very cool spider if you are looking for something different.
