Described by Jan-Peter Rudloff in 2008. From Veracruz Mexico, this member of the “Red rump group” was originally in the Brachypelma genus until Tliltocatl was established in 2020 by Jorge Mendoza & Oscar Francke. Like most “red rumps” these are generally tame spiders and good for beginners. They tend to grow faster then Brachypelma as well, for people who don’t have the patience to grow out a spider for year. Easy to keep terrestrial spider that gets about 5”-6” as adults.
