Xenesthis are some of the coolest tarantulas on earth. They get big, grow fast, eat everything and are a beautiful velvety black color as adults with a purple carapace. Mature males turn a brilliant purple color when they mature as well, similar to Pamphobeteus. Reaching an 8 inch leg span or more, these terrestrial Colombian giant's will quickly become your prized spider. This is still an undescibed species, however it is known for its extra wide scopula pads on leg IV of this spider that makes them stand out from other species in the genus.
